KVPY Exam Date 2021 – 2022 Released

According to the latest notification, the KVPY exam will be in the last week of January 2022. The Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana is a national-level program that provides scholarships conducted by the Science and Technology department, the government of India. Up till now, the exam is all set to be online. The examination encourages students to study basic sciences and careers in research centers. The program was initiated by the Indian government to attract motivated students to pursue life sciences as a career. 

Recently, it has been announced that the KVPY exam date 2023 will be announced soon. Up till now, the exam is all set to be held in the last week of January 2023. 

Some of the Most Useful KVPY Exam Dates 2022 that you must know

The commencement of registration will take place from the first week of September 2022. The last date to submit the application forms will be in the last week of October. And the deadline for applying fees is in the first week of November. The admit cards will be available at least ten days before the exam. It means the admit cards will be released by the first week of January. The KVPY exam is all set to hold in the last week of January. The results will thereby be declared in March. 

KVPY 2022 exam date and eligibility criteria

The KVPY exam date is still unannounced. However, it is known that the exam will take place in the last week of January 2023. The date is still tentative, and it may change in unusual circumstances. Additionally, here are the eligibility criteria for applying to the KVPY exam 2022. 

  • For SA stream

For the SA stream, the candidates must be appearing in grade eleven from any recognized board. They should have science and mathematics.  Interested candidates must have obtained 75% in the 10th board examinations. 

  • For SX stream

Interested candidates who are appearing in 10+2 intermediate exams can also apply for the SX stream. They must have passed the subjects of science. Interested candidates must have a score of 75% in grade 12th. 

  • For SB Stream

Interested candidates who are enrolled in the first year of undergraduate programs in life sciences are also eligible to apply for the scholarship test. They must have studied physics, chemistry, and mathematics/biology as a compulsory subject. The eligibility criteria is a minimum of 60 five marks in science and mathematics in grade 12th. 

KVPY Exam pattern

The mode of examination will be online. And the medium will be both in English and in Hindi. The paper will consist of multiple-choice questions, and the duration of the exam will be three hours. Each exam contains 80 marks. 0.5 marks will be reduced on every wrong answer. Each question holds two marks. Shortlisted candidates will thereby be called for an interview, where they will be further evaluated. The round of interviews will be in the third or the fourth week of January 2023. The interviews will last till the first week of february.
