GSET Exam Date 2021 – 2022 How to Check

Are you striving to become a college assistant professor in Gujarat? Well, then the GSET exam is a must-try for you. GSET exam is a state-level examination used for testing junior fellow researchers and assistant professors. It contains two papers. The first exam is for 100 marks with 50 questions, while on the other hand, the second paper consists of 200 marks with 100 questions. In addition, the candidates are given over three hours to attempt the examination. 

Recently, the GSET exam date has changed. Instead of conducting it on the 26th of December 2021. The exam is postponed till the 23rd of January, 2022. The latest GSET exam date is shared by the official authorities. The examination would consist of two papers and be held on the same date- i.e 23rd of January, 2022.

Candidates who have applied for the examination can check the GSET exam date on the official website by the following steps.

  • You will be navigated to another window. 
  • Check the examination date. You can also take out a hard copy of it or take a screenshot and save it on your smartphone. 

GSET is all set to lead 23 subjects at eleven examination centers over the Gujarat state. After the evaluation, eligible candidates will be shortlisted for lecturers, assistant professors of concerned educational institutes, both government and private. Since most of the most interested candidates also apply for UGC Net or CSIR NET. The syllabus is kept the same for the GSET test. It makes it more manageable for the candidates. 

According to the latest GSET exam date, both examinations will be taken within a 3-hour duration. Paper one will be held in the first session, and paper two will be taken in the second session. The first paper will consist of general knowledge.

It will include questions like divergent thinking, critical thinking, and dedifferentiation. The aptitude for teaching will be assessed based on it. It will also contain questions regarding general awareness. Therefore, answering only 50 questions is compulsory. 

The second paper will consist of subjects that the candidate has selected. Subjects like science, mathematics, physics, and so on. There will be no negative marking and no rechecking of papers later on. 

The most significant fact about the GSET exam is there is no age limit. It doesn’t restrict an upper age limit. Although, the candidates are required to have at least a master’s degree. Candidates who have completed at least 55% of their master’s degree in the relevant subjects are also eligible to apply. 

As authorized by the State government, The Maharaja Sayajirao is ready to conduct GSET examinations for the university and college teachers on the 23rd of January, 2022, as per the new GSET exam date.
